Laminate
Laminate flooring installation in Naples, FL
Modern water-resistant laminate with realistic embossed grain — the budget-conscious way to get a wood look across a whole floor plan.
Today's laminate is not the hollow-sounding product from twenty years ago. High-density cores with attached underlayment give it a solid step, and the embossed-in-register grain lines up with the printed texture so it reads convincingly as wood.
We are straight about its limits: laminate is water-resistant, not waterproof. For kitchens, baths and laundry rooms we will steer you to LVP instead, and say so on the estimate rather than after the fact.

Laminate questions we get asked
Is laminate a good idea in Florida?
In dry rooms, yes — bedrooms, hallways and offices do well. For kitchens, baths and laundry we recommend waterproof luxury vinyl plank instead, because laminate cores swell if water sits on a seam.
How is laminate different from luxury vinyl?
Laminate has a wood-fiber core with a photographic wear layer; LVP has a waterproof plastic core. Laminate often feels firmer underfoot and costs less; LVP survives water.
Can laminate be installed over existing flooring?
Frequently, yes. Laminate floats, so it can go over sound tile or vinyl once the surface is flat and clean, which saves tear-out cost.
